I have never been camping yet, but we've been talking about going since summer. Now the weather is cooler and it would be a great time to go. I've been browsing online looking at camping gear for our possible trip. There are a lot of great items of camping gear that make camping a bit more convenient. A camping tent would be the first thing of course that I would need. Actually, with my family of seven, I'd need two tents. Then the kids would need to bring their sleeping bags, and my husband and I would want to bring an air mattress to sleep on. A cooler to keep cold things in would definitely be helpful and a cooking stove to warm things up. I am not going to try to cook over an open fire most of the time. Maybe for weenies and marshmallows we could try that, but mostly I'll want to cook on a camping stove. These are a few things in camping gear that will be helpful for my first camping trip with my husband and five kids.
