For those individuals who have never been Deer Hunting but would like to give this great sport a try the best thing they can do is hook up with someone they know who is experienced at Deer Hunting. A experienced Deer Hunting sportsman will be your guide and "mentor" as you learn the ways of the wily Whitetail deer. My dad taught my brothers and I to fish and hunt but he rarely went Deer Hunting as he preferred to hunt smaller game such as rabbits and grouse. I applied many of the hunting advice from dad to my initial foray into Deer Hunting but it was a steep learning curve doing it by myself because deer are more difficult to hunt than small game. So I highly recommend the novice deer hunter find an experienced deer hunter to show them the ropes. There are so many different aspects to becoming successful hunting deer because these are not dumb animals and always remember you are on their home field so they have one up on you from the start. Learn the ways of the Whitetail and you too can become an experienced deer hunter.
